Overview
The Michelin Guides are a series of guide books that have been published by the French tyre company Michelin since 1900. Nowadays, Michelin Guide is mainly known as the 'Red Guide' that introduces restaurants, and wields immense power over chefs and gourmet the world over. This app focuses on the essence of the Michelin Guide, which is a 'guide for travelers', and has been created to help travelers around the world obtain various information, not only about restaurants, through various functions to help their travel.
미쉐린 가이드는 1900년부터 프랑스의 타이어 회사 미쉐린에서 발간된 여행 가이드입니다. 현재 미쉐린 가이드는 레스토랑을 소개하는 '레드 가이드'로 주로 알려져 있으며, 전 세계의 쉐프들과 미식가들에게 강력한 영향력을 행사하고 있습니다. 이 앱에서는 '여행자를 위한 안내서'라는 미쉐린 가이드의 본질에 초점을 맞추어 여러 기능을 통해 전 세계를 여행하는 여행자들이 레스토랑 뿐 아니라 다양한 정보를 얻어 자신들의 여행에 보탬이 될 수 있도록 제작했습니다.
About
The Michelin Guide's mobile app currently only supports English, provides simple information about restaurants and hotels, and the reservation function is only available for some places, making it difficult to reserve the desired place. In this project, I created a Korean version of the app with a focus on resolving these problems and expanding the usability of the app with travel-related functions.
미쉐린 가이드 모바일 앱은 현재 영어만 지원하고 있고, 단순하게 레스토랑과 호텔에 대한 정보만 제공하며, 예약 기능도 일부 장소에 한해서 제공되고 있어 원하는 장소 예약에 어려움이 있습니다. 이 프로젝트에선 이 문제점들을 해소하고 여기에 더 나아가 여행 관련 기능으로 앱의 사용성을 확장하는 것을 중점으로 한국어 버전의 앱을 제작했습니다.
